Pedal on! Can a bike & Caltrain beat a car to work?

On Bike To Work Day 2014, Caltrain is hosting the commuter race challenge you’ve all been waiting for – bike vs. car… with a little help from Caltrain, of course.

Two Caltrain employees will race to get to work from Union Square to San Carlos – one in a car, and the other on his bike and Caltrain. Only one will win. Guess which one Caltrain is hoping will win

The Great San Francisco “Bike vs. Car” Commuter Race
Thursday, May 8, 2014 – 7:30 am
Starts at Union Square Park | Geary and Powell, SF

If you’re a fellow Caltrain commuter and would like to cheer on the bike/train commuter, he plans to be on Caltrain’s #220 train, which is scheduled to depart the San Francisco station at 7:44 am and arrive in San Carlos at 8:13 am.

You will also be able to watch GoPro footage of his commute on Peninsula Moves!, Caltrain’s blog.
