Thanks to Eater SF for sharing the unfortunate news that Hangar 1 Distillery is closing its Alameda distillery and tasting room.
The beloved vodka distillery, located at 2505 Monarch St, Alameda, is housed in a former airplane hangar. The distillery was a popular stop along Alameda’s Spirits Alley for its tasting room, tours, and its expansive outdoor patio offers sweeping views of the San Francisco skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Your last day to visit the distillery and sip a cocktail on the patio is December 18, but thankfully, it’s not your last day to enjoy Hangar 1. The vodka will still be distilled locally at a partner distillery here in the Bay Area.
