The vigil begins at San Francisco City Hall at 4:30pm, followed by a candlelight march to the Castro at 5:30pm ending up at the Harvey Milk’s old camera store for speeches and listening to archival speeches from Milk.

The event commemorates the lives and untimely deaths of these two extraordinary individuals on the anniversary of their assassinations in 1978 and commemorating the spontaneous candlelight march the night of the shootings.
