Annual remembrance and march for Milk and Moscone | Wednesday
By - posted 11/25/2013 No Comment

Salute the memories of supervisor Harvey Milk and mayor George Moscone at the 35th annual Vigil & Night of Remembrance on November 27, 2013 with a vigil at Harvey Milk Plaza (just outside the Castro Metro stop at Market & Castro) with a performance by the Gay Men’s Chorus and recordings of inspirational speeches from Milk.

For 2013 there are two events on the same night – one at 4:30pm at City Hall with a march to the Castro. And then another at 7pm at Castro/Market with a march back to City Hall. If you don’t mind walking and have a lot of candles, you can always do both.

The event commemorates the lives and untimely deaths of these two extraordinary individuals on the anniversary of their assassinations in 1978 and commemorating the spontaneous candlelight march the night of the shootings.
