The City is inviting you on its epic Juneteenth Freedom Celebration in the historic Fillmore District on June 17, 2023!

Once deemed the “Harlem of the West,” the historic Fillmore District was an epicenter of black music and culture for years. Now that Juneteenth is a federal holiday, San Francisco is looking to celebrate.

The city has put on Juneteenth events before, but nothing of this scale. Eight blocks of Fillmore St. will turn into a huge street festival with six sprawling “districts” including a classic car show, free food demos, free wine tastings (for adults, of cours), free concerts, a gospel competition, and free unlimited carnival rides for everyone who RSVPs.
