CA’s 3rd-Largest Farmers Market to Launch Big 2027 Upgrade
After more than a decade of planning, Marin’s farmers market is finally getting a forever home.
The Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM), the nonprofit behind some of the Bay Area’s biggest markets, just signed a 40-year lease with Marin County to create a permanent market space at the Marin County Civic Center.
Set to open in 2027, the new spot will feature shady structures, ADA-compliant restrooms, hydration stations, seating, and parking for 250 cars and 220 vendors. The market will also expand its hours by adding Tuesdays to its already popular Thursday and Sunday schedule.
Phase two, expected in 2028, will bring a Food Innovation Hub with a demo kitchen, classes, and a café.
The Marin Farmers Market is already the third-largest farmers market in California, but now it will have a permanent 3.7-acre site to keep feeding locals for generations.
