Kirby Cove Campground Reopens For Overnight Camping
Kirby Cove Campground has reopened for overnight camping starting on July 1. The site is adjacent to the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. A beach-side campground boasting spectacular views and is a great spot to appreciate the rugged California coastline and to explore historic Battery Kirby.
The campground is typically open Spring through Fall, but due to the pandemic, the campground will only be open for overnight camping. Furthermore, following local health orders, each camping spot may be occupied by only one household or living unit at a time.
Make a Reservation: Fee is $30 to $45 per night/site. Reservations are required. Dates go very quickly.
- Season Dates: March 06, 2020 – November 01, 2020 (Peak Season)
- During the above season(s), individual sites are released on a 3-month rolling basis:
- On July 06, 2020 at 07:00 am PDT, availability will be released through October 06, 2020. – please note that things may change quickly.
The Day Use Site will continue to be closed. Keep your distance. Recreate with the people in your household. Give others plenty of room whether you are on a trail, at a boat launch, or in a parking lot. Follow the CDC social distancing guidelines for staying six feet away from others. Be prepared to cover your nose and mouth if you’re near others.
