Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know the sad news that Louis’ Restaurant, which has perched atop the cliffs overlooking Ocean Beach, has shut down after 83 years due to coronavirus.

” To wait out this pandemic was financially unreasonable. We are especially sad to not have been able to say goodbye to our many wonderful and loyal customers.” – Louis’ Restaurant

The restaurant at 902 Point Lobos Ave., with one of the most amazing views anywhere in SF, had been in business since 1937, originally overlooking Sutro Baths, having survived multiple fires and a transfer of the land to the National Park Service.
