Man & 2 Dogs Rescued After 80ft Cliff Fall at Ft. Funston
Thank you to the San Francisco Fire Department and California Highway Patrol for helping rescue a man and his two dogs who fell off a cliff at Fort Funston on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
A helicopter was sent to the scene after the male and the two dogs fell approximately 80 feet off the cliff near the hangliding deck at Fort Funston. Thankfully, both the adult male and the dogs have been evaluated and everyone will be okay.
Just earlier in the week, firefighters safely rescued a puppy who tumbled off the edge of the cliff at Fort Funston. As a reminder, SF Fire Department noted on Twitter, “Remember, stay on trails, consider your leash…” We want you to “have a pawfect time and make positive memories woof sharing.”
