Dave Dravecky, former Giants left-handed pitcher, Willie Mac award winner and Major League Baseball all-star pitcher will serve as honorary Grand Marshal of the world-famous Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival Parade, Saturday, October 17 at 12 noon.

Humongous weigh-off champion pumpkins on display, the mesmerizing and remarkably talented “Picasso of pumpkin carvers” sculpting and shaping a monster 1,200+ pound pumpkin into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, harvest-inspired crafts by America’s top artists, the return of the Sunday-only “Made on the Coast”, an expanded Locals’ Artists Block featuring fine art and live music, the richest/creamiest/tastiest pumpkin pie on the planet, four stages of blockbuster entertainment, everyone’s favorite home-spun parade, the world’s largest mosaic pumpkin sculpture that measures 12-feet long, 11-feet high and weighs 10,000 pounds by artist Peter Hazel

New features for 2015 include:

  • An official song will be chosen to honor the celebrated festival through the Official Pumpkin Festival Song Contest. The winner will have the opportunity to perform on the main stage at the festival.
  • The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company Made on the Coast Stage with live music all day both days in the Cunha Store parking lot.
  • Half Moon Bay Distillery Purissima Vodka Bloody Mary’s and pumpkin flavored Jack-o-tinis all day both days.
  • A better, larger, higher-resolution giant LED screen in the Take 5 Lounge for much-improved viewing of MLB playoffs, NFL and NCAA football games.
  • All-new lineup of festival merchandise with expanded merchandise and pumpkin pie tents at the primary festival entrance/exit at Main and Mill Streets.
  • All-new lineup of bands performing on four stages throughout the downtown area, a fresh infusion of new arts and crafts exhibitors along with many of the longtime favorites.
  • Free glow-in-the-dark Halloween bags with a book of savings, a selfie photo booth to share on social media and chance to win gift cards at the Safeway tent.
  • Meet the legendary Gecko, sing some karaoke, play a game and win cool swag and prizes at the GEICO Bus Tour booth.
  • Take on the daunting Virtual Maze Challenge, have some fun with the photo opp booth and win awesome prizes at the Wells Fargo Together Experience Tour exhibit.
  • The free, all-new Pumpkin Festival mobile app developed by Half Moon Bay’s Phondini Partners which includes an iPad specific version and a helpful “Find Parking” feature.
