Thanks to Broke Ass Stuart and KQED for letting us know the nightclub that will be replacing Slim’s on 11th street in SoMa is called “YOLO.”

Whereas Slim’s hosted live music for 30 years, YOLO will be a more traditional nightclub with EDM and top 40 DJs and will be opened by the co-owners of Sunnyvale’s Pure Nightclub.”

Slim’s closed down in March, but the closure had been in the works for before COVID. The club was SF’s longest running rock club, and one of the few all-ages venues in the Bay. Concerts at Slims included Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Prince, Green Day and Snoop Dog.

There is no opening date set for YOLO yet, but they promise dress codes, ropes and barricades for lines and security staff in suits and ties.
