Sadly, the Oakland Chinatown StreetFest has been postponed. We look forward to when we can announce the festival’s return.
Out of an abundance of caution due to rising COVID cases, the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Oakland Chinatown 33rd StreetFest originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 28 – Sunday, August 29, 2021.
We urge your continued support of Oakland Chinatown’s many small businesses, as well as the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce. Visit OaklandChinatownChamber.org to donate.
We encourage everyone to follow guidelines and protocols set by public officials so that we can all safely gather soon. We thank all of our healthcare and essential service workers for serving the community during these challenging times.
About the Chinatown StreetFest
Established in 1988 by the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, the StreetFest was created to encourage a sense of community in a place where diversity in people and businesses thrive. Browsing the 8 city blocks one will find a little bit of almost everything the Bay Area has to offer. Of course, there will be a big slice of Chinatown, offering everything from jade bracelets to BBQ lamb, an array of Asian restaurants , a variety of Boba shops and hand-crafted ceramics. At the food court, one can find everything from Thai barbeque, tasty tacos, Italian Ice to kettle corn to exotic fruit drinks.
