Thank you Oakland Fire Department for helping protect a whale found in the Oakland Estuary.
The Oakland Fire Department’s Marine 1 fireboat responded to the report of the whale on Sunday evening. The Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team guided the whale to safety by establishing a safety zone for the whale.
Thankfully, they stayed with the whale until it swam out of the Estuary and back into the open waters.
