Oakland’s “Hella Bagels” Sells Out in Seconds Every Week
Thanks to Berkeleyside for this yummy news about Oakland’s newest bagel business, which opens up orders every Sunday at Noon (for delivery the following Sunday) and typically sells out in seconds.
Chef-owner Blake Hunter (the self-proclaimed “Hyphy Hebrew”) launched his Hella Bagels business amid the coronavirus pandemic. He makes his bagels out of his Oakland home and only 100 are made a week.
When can you order next? The 7/26 order form will be available on Sunday, July 19th at Noon
He started making his own bagels for friends and family only and posted it on Instagram, but it wasn’t too long before others noticed and started placing orders. At present, you may place your online order on his website.
Hella bagels come in seven flavors: plain, sesame, garlic, salt, poppy, onion, and everything.
Prices aren’t cheap… Delivery of four bagels plus 1 cream cheese is $20 (which includes delivery)
