Poop is Art

A one-night-only pop-up “art” show all about poo poo

“Poop is Art & Vice Versa” is a one-night-only exhibition featuring the latest works by internationally uncelebrated artists, Guillermo Sanchez and Rafael Saenz, founders of IPoopYou.com.

The exhibition will be a prolific assortment of paintings, small photographs, fashion designs, and a site-specific installation. Many parts of the pieces use as a medium real animal poop that has been carefully hand picked from local farms in the bay area and converted into (f)art.

Original and ingenious, irreverent and humorous, this work reminds us that no matter how exalted we may perceive a person to be, in the end, we are all the same sh*t.

In their cartoonish and satirical artwork, Rafael and Guillermo use mixed media detournement to fearlessly mock icons of the art world, pop culture celebrities, famous contemporary artists, their dealers, and very often, their selves. Their iconoclastic mission is to challenge squeamishness and to advocate the power of poop as a means of expression.
