Popular Japanese “Marugame Udon” Chain Opens New East Bay Spot (March 9)

The popular Japanese restaurant Marugame Udon is opening up its third location in the Bay Area. The newest location opens on Wednesday, March 9 in the East Bay, in City Center Bishop Ranch at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd. Suite #120, San Ramon.

The restaurant specializes in made-to-order Udon bowls and freshly made tempura, with a theater kitchen, allowing guests to watch as their food is prepared. To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant will offer the first 100 guests a free bowl of Udon for their next visit.

Marugame Udon has over 1,000 locations internationally, with approximately 800 restaurants in Japan. There are just 11 locations in the United States, with 2 in Texas, 2 in Hawaii, and the brand new San Ramon restaurant marks the 7th in California, joining Berkeley and San Francisco in the Bay Area.
