Presidio Creek Geek Hike

Exercise your body and brain on a nerdy tour of SF’s hills and creeks | Sunday
By - posted 11/17/2012 No Comment

Join Thinkwalks outdoors for a vigorous, hilly 6-mile hike (rain or shine) with others fascinated by SF springs and creeks plus get schooled with mini-lectures about the region.

Unlike the usual Thinkwalks, this will be long, hikey and with only occasional historical presentations.

Presidio Creek Geek Hike
Sunday, November 18, 2012 (9:15 am – 2:00 pm)
Meet at Baker Beach parking lot, Battery Chamberlin Rd., Presidio
Free but RSVP required. Donations accepted

This walk will be a cliff- and hill-climbing six miles to get close look at five flowing surface creeks in a city where most people barely know of a single flowing creek.

There will be a scenic stop for snacking, so bring lunch and snacks to share. The hike will be a loop starting and ending at the Baker Beach.

Dress properly and bring water.
