On January 12, 1963, Charlie Watts played his first gig with the Rolling Stones, finalizing the lineup that launched the band to stardom second only to the Beatles.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Park Branch of the San Francisco Library on 1833 Page Street, rock historian Richie Unterberger marks the 50th anniversary of that occasion by presenting two hours of rare Rolling Stones film clips from the 1960s and early 1970s, which marked the band’s truly golden decade.
