Thanks to KRON4 for letting us know that San Francisco Mayor London Breed has announced that the city’s health department is no longer projected to run out of vaccines this week.

Earlier this week it was announced that San Francisco had already allocated all of its 31,655 vaccines and was scheduled to run out on Thursday.

But the Mayor’s office today clarified that since the state has since deemed the Moderna vaccine safe to use, this frees up another 8,000 dosses for the city.

Because of reports of allergic reactions from some people after receiving the Moderna vaccine, the city temporarily temporarily halted using those vaccines.
