The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk reopened fully on Tuesday, June 15th along with much of the rest of the state of California.

The classic seaside amusement park features more than 40 rides and attractions including two National Historic Landmarks: the world-famous 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster and the beautiful 1911 Looff Carousel, plus many scream-inducing thrill rides, gentle kiddie rides, casual restaurants, gift shops, games, indoor arcades, and miniature golf.

Please note that not all rides are operating. The Boardwalk says, “a minimum of 20 rides will be open, weather permitting.”

The Boardwalk is admission free, but rides and activities require tickets including the Giant Dipper at $7 per ride. See ride ticket pricing. Last weekend ride reservations sold out in advance.

Mask Rules

Per California face mask guidelines, the Boardwalk recommends all unvaccinated guests age 2 and older wear face masks at all times when visiting the Boardwalk and all related attractions except when actively eating and drinking.

Vaccinated guests are welcome to enjoy the Boardwalk and all related attractions without wearing a mask. By not wearing a mask, you certify that you are fully vaccinated.
