SF Lights Up for the 49ers
The 49ers are heading to the NFC Championships and hopefully the Super Bowl, and around San Francisco, our landmarks are lighting up in red and gold to celebrate.
Snap a photo of these iconic buildings lighting up in Niners colors and cheer them on against the Rams in NFC Championship Game on Sunday, January 30, 2022. It’s a great photo opportunity for fans and as well as photographers.
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department will illuminate its iconic structures in red and gold in honor of the 49ers starting at sundown Wednesday, Jan. 26. Coit Tower, the Conservatory of Flowers, and Golden Gate Bandshell will continue to be lit up for as long as the 49ers remain on their quest for their sixth Super Bowl win.
Joining in on the lighting celebration is SFO airport (originally scheduled Jan. 21-23, but will likely be extended) and we’d also expect San Francisco City Hall to light up periodically in celebration as well, but it’s not currently listed on their lighting schedule as of yet. In past years when the 49ers have made it this far, San Jose City Hall, San Jose Civic and other landmarks around San Jose also lit up, but we haven’t seen any mention of festive lights yet.
That’s love ❤️💛
