As part of the ban on all events of more than 100 people that was announced Friday afternoon (3/13) all large San Francisco restaurants have special rules that may require them to cut further.

Large Restaurants (100-500 Capacity) Must Cut Capacity By At Least 50% – Even if capacity falls below 100.
To allow for appropriate social distancing, restaurants that have a capacity of between 100 and 500 people are allowed to continue operating as long as they reduce their occupancy in half up to a maximum of 100 patrons.

For example, a restaurant that has an occupancy of 150 is allowed to operate if it reduces its occupancy in half to 75.
