SF Tops National Geographic’s “Best of the World” Destinations for 2023

The City is named a top family destination: inspiring for all ages

Thanks to National Geographic for naming San Francisco to their annual list of the world’s best destinations for travelers, 25 Breathtaking Places and Experiences for 2023, and we couldn’t agree more.

San Francisco made this year’s list as a fantastic family-friendly destination under their Family: Inspiring Journeys for All Ages category, stating, “In San Francisco, California, gather around a campfire with Golden Gate views at Presidio Tunnel Tops and hike the urban Crosstown Trail.”

San Francisco’s new favorite park, Presidio Tunnel Tops, opened July 17, 2022 and features scenic overlooks with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and The City, paths and gardens, a campfire circle, picnic grounds, an Outpost natural playscape, a new Field Station, plus a full lineup of Presidio Pop-Up food vendors to keep the whole family satiated.
