Thanks to Mission Local for letting us know that San Francisco’s Alamo Drafthouse plans to reopen in July. The historic theater, located on Mission near 22nd, has been closed for more than a year.

According to a blog post on the Alamo Drafthouse website posted on April 29, the theater chain is planning a July reopening of San Francisco with the caveat, “We’re just going to need to be a little bit fuzzy on the specifics, but we’ll update you when things come into focus.”

The Drafthouse is located in the New Mission Theater, which was originally built in 1907 (or 1916 depending when you start counting) and then reburnished and reopened in 2015 by Alamo Drafthouse after decades of neglect. The theater has five auditoriums can will eventually be able to seat a total maximum of 536 guests.
