Beloved grocery store Bi-Rite Market is finally opening its third shop in San Francisco.

Bi-Rite has been a San Francisco institution for more than 80 years, known for local, and responsibly sourced products, and now they’re expanding with a new location in Russian Hill, which joins locations in Divisadero Street and Mission District. We first wrote about this news back in November 2022, so we’re happy to announce that an opening date has finally been announced.

The family-run business purchased Real Foods Co. at 2140 Polk Street, and will open their doors on August 29, 2024. Thanks to SF Gate for sharing the details. The new location is Bi-Rite’s largest location yet at 4,000 square feet, complete with a sandwich counter, bakery, fish and meat counters, plus a kitchen. The store will be open 8am-9pm daily.

Celebrate Bi-Rite Market’s Opening Weekend with live music and sweet deals, all while helping support a community nonprofit.
