The theater chain has decided to end its run at the all in San Francisco a few months ahead of its lease expiration in September.

Your last chance to see a film at the “Cinemark Century San Francisco Centre 9 and XD” is today (Thursday, June 15, 2023) with The Little Mermaid, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and concluding with a 1:45pm screening of Transformers: Rise of the Beast. After that, the theater will be closed permanently.

The cinema’s closure marks another blow to the local shopping district, with Westfield recently announcing the transfer of the mall’s management to its lender. The Cinemark theater, which occupied 52,000 square feet on the top floor of the mall, joins the list of businesses shutting their doors in the area.
