San Francisco’s beloved Oasis is getting ready for its next act.

The iconic SoMa drag club, theater, and queer performance venue has been undergoing a major transformation and will officially reopen on July 17, 2026 with a special celebration dubbed “The Grand Reveal.”

While Oasis is keeping many details under wraps for now, the venue says visitors can expect a redesigned space aimed at creating a more immersive experience for audiences while preserving the energy and atmosphere that made Oasis a cornerstone of San Francisco nightlife.

Since opening on New Year’s Eve 2014, Oasis has become one of the Bay Area’s premier destinations for drag shows, cabaret, live music, comedy, immersive theater, and LGBTQ+ community events. The venue has hosted thousands of performances and helped launch the careers of countless artists.

The reopening also marks a new chapter for the organization as Oasis Arts expands its role as a nonprofit arts organization and performance venue focused on supporting queer and BIPOC artists. Founder and Artistic Director D’Arcy Drollinger will continue leading the venue’s creative programming, while Greg Sottolano joins as Executive Director.

A full lineup of opening week events and additional programming announcements are expected in the coming weeks.

Oasis reopens July 17, 2026. Tickets for reopening festivities and upcoming events are available online.
