SF’s “Mission Cheese” Closing Down After 10 Years

Let it brie… Indie cheese shop on Valencia shutting down permanently at the end of the year

Thanks to Tablehopper and  SF Gate for letting us know the sad news that artisan cheese shop, Mission Cheese, is closing after 10 years on Valencia and 18th.

This little cheese place is going to sleep at the end of the month. After nearly 10 years of slinging amazing American cheeses, this decision has so many layers, and is not one that was made lightly. Operating as we have had to since March, with little relief, is a major component…but by far not the only one.

So no more handcrafted cheeses, charcuterie & sandwiches. Their lease is up in March and they are planning to close at the end of the year stating on Instagram, “we’re going to sling all the cheese and wine that’s humanly possible for the next two weeks! We love you ❤️ Let’s bring it home!”

Make your final orders: Mission Cheese – call 415.553.8667
– pick up at Mission Cheese Thursdays from 4-7pm
– delivery in San Francisco Monday and Friday.
– delivery in South Marin – Fridays (Sausalito, MV, San Rafael, Larkspur, Corte Madera only)
Menu: Cheese, Wine, Beer, Cheese Gift Boxes, Snacks & Things, Masks and Merch
