SF’s Open Air Muni “Boat Tram” Is Back October 7-11
Thanks to Bold Italic for sharing the news that Muni’s adorable Boat Tram will be back in action from October 7-11 during Fleet Week 2021
SFMTA Youth Transportation Advisory Board Member Alexander announced on Twitter that the iconic boat tram is making its return.
Maybe you were lucky enough to spot the tram doing its training along the Embarcadero this week. The boat will be out the weekend of Fleet Week, October 8-10, and also on Thursday through Monday, mid-morning to late afternoon.
SF’s Boat Tram Returns October 7-11, 2021
Muni’s most popular streetcar, 1934 Blackpool, England Boat Tram 228, will be delighting passengers on The Embarcadero between Fisherman’s Wharf and our San Francisco Railway Museum (across from the Ferry Building) from October 7 to October 11, the key dates of Fleet Week 2021.
Final operating hours haven’t yet been set, but we expect the Boat Tram to be in service at least from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m each day. (We’ll update this post if that changes.) We’ll have volunteer docents on the Boat to answer any questions you might have. – Market Street Railway
