San Francisco bar, Pacific Cocktail Haven, has been recognized as one of North America’s top 50 bars in 2023 by 50Best.

It is the only bar from the Bay Area to be included on this list, where it sits in the 28th position. This is the first time that Pacific Cocktail Haven has been included on the list.

Located at 550 Sutter Street in Union Square, Pacific Cocktail Haven was established in 2016. After a fire damaged the original location, the bar relocated to its current spot with comfy maroon banquettes and an outdoor patio seating whenever SF has one of its rare gorgeous days.

The bar is also well-known for its holiday pop-up “Miracle at PCH”, decked out in Christmas lights and decor.

The bar, owned by Kevin Diedrich, is known for its menu of Asian-Pacific-inspired cocktails. Among the unique offerings is the Thrilla in Manila, a cocktail that combines bourbon, shiso, calamansi, pineapple, coconut, absinthe, and li hing mui. Another notable drink is the Oh, Snap!, a gin and tonic variant featuring snap pea, manzanilla sherry, absinthe, and citrus.

Pacific Cocktail Haven was previously recognized as the “Best American Cocktail Bar” by the Spirited Awards in 2020. Its latest recognition from North America’s 50 Best Bars underscores its consistent quality and unique offerings.
