Get your free ticket and join in at the Mestiza Taqueria for a unique sampling of sweet and savory Ube-infused cuisine (ube chicken and waffles, ube ice cream, etc…) while DJs play Prince inspired jamz.

UNDSCVRD’s mission is to help develop the SoMa Pilipinas Filipino Cultural Heritage District in San Francisco With that in mind, they’re inviting everyone to a free special pop-up event. Please note this is a much more intimate and small pop-up event to tide you over until their next big night market at the Mint.

About the Venue: Mestiza
With a lush tropical garden patio + beautiful interior, Mestiza Taqueria is a unique and memorable venue. Mestiza means a woman of mixed culture or heritage in Filipino. The concept of Mestiza Taqueria was created and influenced by the Filipino roots of owner Deanna Sison Foster (Little Skillet, Farmerbrown, Victory Hall & Parlor).

THE CAUSE:
SOMA Pilipinas is working with a broad coalition of community-based organizations and institutions on a measure that will direct City funds collected by the hotel tax (no new taxes), to support organizations and programs that provide services for:

– Homeless Families
– Community Arts
– Cultural Heritage Districts
