Soul Food Street Festival

Take the T to the 33rd Annual Black Cuisine Festival, an all-day outdoor street fair on Saturday, March 2, 2013 with two stages of jazz, soul, blues, gospel and spoken word.

Taste your way through Bayview with about a dozen vendors selling soul food with lots of options like  BBQ chicken, ribs, yams, ox tail, black eyed peas, mac & cheese, fried catfish, jambalaya, black eyed peas, Texas BBQ, Louisiana creole, Cajun food and more.  Yum!

Food vendors include Big Mamma’s Kitchen and Yvonne’s Southern Cuisines.

The event also features dancing, a kiddieland, a soul food cook-off and a marketplace with about 20 vendors..
