Unsilent Night

A unique boombox Christmas music parade winds through the Mission | Saturday 7pm

Unsilent Night” is artist Phil Kline’s free outdoor participatory sound sculpture played through a roving swarm of hundreds of boomboxes carried through the Mission District creating a 44-minute ambient roving electronic Christmas carol of chimes and bells on December 15, 2012.

Hundreds of people bring their own boomboxes and drift peacefully through a cloud of sound which is different from every listener’s perspective in an outdoor ambient music piece that winds throughout the streets of the Mission District.

– Think of it as a block-long stereo system and Christmas parade!
