This weekend in San Francisco features everything from an artisan craft fair and concerts in the park to an anarchist book sale and free scoops.

Here’s our picks for our favorite five things to do this weekend – July 8-10, 2011.

Friday, July 8

F*ck the Fourth Anarchist Book Sale
Take your political philosophy to the next level with anarchist and radical publisher party AK Press’ “F*ck the Fourth” book sale party this Friday.
Stop by their Oakland warehouse between 4 to 10 p.m. where they’ll be selling their entire stock of over 40,000 titles to the public at 25% off, including t-shirts, DVDs, pamphlets and magazines. There will also be tables where bargain books can be purchased for $1, $3 or $5, all to the tune of music from local DJs, free beer and vegan-friendly munchies.

AK Press Warehouse (674-A 23rd St., Oakland) | Friday, July 8 | 4-10p | FREE

Saturday, July 9

Women’s World Cup Quarterfinals Broadcast
Kick off the weekend with this free, family-friendly outdoor viewing party of the Women’s World Cup Quarterfinals in Civic Center Plaza. Broadcast live from Germany, the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department will also provide a soccer skills session and games for the kids, a bounce house and slide as well as food trucks from Off the Grid. So go for the gold and bring your soccer swag so that you can score some goals and get your grub on.

Civic Center Plaza (Polk & Grove St., SF) | Saturday, July 9 | 9 & 11:45a | FREE

Renegade Craft Fair 2011
Don’t want to start your Saturday with women’s soccer? Then if hand-knit nesting dolls or kitschy ceramics are more your speed, spend your Saturday and Sunday at the 4th Annual Renegade Craft Fair. Returning to San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion, this expo for the inspired and imaginative will showcase local artisans and D.I.Y. craftsmen, as well as food, hands-on crafting activities, workshops and live entertainment.

Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion (Laguna St. & Marina Blvd., SF) | Sat, July 9 & Sun, July 10 | 11a-7p | FREE

Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Park Party
Get the inside scoop by joining Flavorpill and Ben & Jerry’s for an exclusive Scoop Truck Party at Buena Vista Park on Saturday, July 9. Enjoy an afternoon of free ice cream served up by celebrity guest scoopers, all with live music and the chance to volunteer to participate in some community beautification. Just be sure to RSVP ahead of time and spend your Saturday in the Haight with some Half Baked and Chubby Hubby.

Buena Vista Park (Haight-Ashbury, SF) | Saturday, July 9 | 11a-2p | FREE, but RSVP required.

Sunday, July 10

San Francisco Symphony in the Park
Pack a picnic and bring the whole family to Golden Gate Park for the San Francisco Symphony’s annual outdoor concert. The music itself, which includes a selection of classics ranging from “Fantasia” fare to Beethoven, starts at 2 p.m., but get there early to stake out a spot in Sharon Meadow and participate in a special instrument petting zoo at 12:30 p.m.

Sharon Meadow, Golden Gate Park (320 Bowling Green Dr., SF) | Sunday, July 10 | 2p | FREE
