BART launched a new program to ease congestion on rush hour mornings, and maybe even help you win a few bucks for riding BART. BART Perks is a six month test program to explore new ways to reduce crowding by offering riders incentives for traveling outside the morning rush.

How BART Perks works
You can earn points for every trip you make on BART using your Clipper card, and up to six times the points for trips that start outside the morning rush. Redeem your points for small cash rewards or try the Spin to Win game for the chance to win up to $100. Rewards are paid out monthly via PayPal.

How to earn points
You accrue one point for each mile you travel on BART, and extra points for trips that begin during bonus hours. Earn even more points during bonus hours based on your program status level—3x, 4x, 5x or even 6x points.

How to level up
There are four program status levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The more you travel by BART during the designated bonus hour, the higher your program status, granting you a chance to win more valuable rewards on the Spin to Win boards. You can check your current status and how many bonus trips are required to reach the next status on your home page.
