The city of Oakley, one of California’s youngest cities, is celebrating their 18th anniversary of cityhood on Saturday, July 7, 2018. They will also celebrate the nation’s birthday.
Held at Freedom High School Soccer Basin, there will be music, vendors, food, glitter tattoos, jump houses, slides and a variety of inflatable activities. A wristband is required for unlimited use of the children’s activities.
The wristbands will be available for pre-sale at City Hall and will be available at 2 booths at the event, one near the entrance to the soccer basin and the 2nd located on the upper basin.
All activities will close precisely at 9 pm in anticipation of the fireworks show which starts at approximately 9:30 pm. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic dinners to enjoy the music and fireworks show.
Admission is free; $5 wristbands are also available for purchase for the children’s activities and rides. Children up to the age of 5 may receive a free wristband.
