Event Details

Are You Climate Concerned and Looking for a Place to Land?

If you’re carrying climate grief, uncertainty, or even an awareness of possible collapse, you don’t have to carry it alone. East Bay friends are warmly invited to join me for a guided exploration of Dr. Katharine K. Wilkinson’s Climate Wayfinding: Healing Ourselves and the Planet We Call Home.

This is more than a traditional book club. Through essays, poetry, art, music, facilitated conversation, and reflection, we’ll explore how to move from climate ache and overwhelm toward courage, connection, possibility, and meaningful action.

I’m Heidi Harmon; a longtime climate organizer and former three-term mayor who recently moved to Oakland to deepen my community-based work. After 25 years in the climate movement, I believe the relationships we build are as essential to our resilience as any policy we pass.

Sundays, beginning October 11

10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
In person in Oakland. 2310 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, CA 94612
Donation-based; no one turned away for lack of funds

Thanks to the generosity of author Dr. Wilkinson, also co-editor of All We Can Save, the first eight people to register will receive a complimentary copy of the book.

If there is enough interest, I would also be happy to create a separate virtual group. Message me with questions or to express interest in joining online.

Come find your footing and your people for the road ahead.

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
