Join us on New Year’s Eve (12/31) as we kick off a new multi-month community activation on Commercial Street. From Jan–Mar 2026, enjoy a car-free, welcoming street every Friday & Saturday – perfect for strolling, relaxing, and supporting local small businesses. The market will feature pop-up booths from local small businesses, festive lighting and decorations, music, and a variety of community activities.

Chinatown Commercial Break is a new, multi-month community activation pilot project designed to bring life, joy, and connection back to one of Chinatown’s most underutilized corridors: Commercial Street.

Through weekend street closures, pop-up vendors, community seating, cultural programming, music and seasonal themes, this pilot program transforms Commercial Street into a welcoming public space where neighbors can slow down, connect, and support local small businesses.

Whether you’re stopping by for shopping, food, music, or simply to take a break and enjoy the atmosphere, Commercial Break invites you to pause, wander, and rediscover Chinatown together.
