The Commons kicks off its 2015 concert season on Friday, March 20th at 6:45 pm with a night of music, design and performance that celebrates the official transition from winter to spring.
The first showcase of the year will be staged at the Circle of Palms in downtown San Jose and will feature an eclectic lineup of performers from around the Bay Area.
Performances by:
- ContainHer (melodic synthpop, San Jose),
- Isaiah Pekary (violinist, East Palo Alto),
- Grace-Anne Powers & Austin Moholt-Siebert (ballet, San Jose)
- Jackie Gage (jazz & soul)
“Mighty” Mike McGee, “standup poet” and the only person to win both the 2003 National Poetry Slam Grand Championship and the 2006 Individual World Poetry Slam Grand championship, will host the event.
