POSTPONED: CommUnity Silent Disco Dance Party | Dolores Park

EVENT UPDATE: The Silent Disco is scheduled for July 11th has been postponed. As soon as we know of a new date, we’ll update this posting.

The Silent Disco Squad the world into a dance floor and on Saturday, July 11, 2015 they’re taking over Dolores Park in the Mission District to respectfully spread mayhem (and dancing) around the park.

Here’s how it works:

1. Just download the mix to your mp3 device (they’ll release it on www.silentdiscosquad.com a few days beforehand) OR stream the mix through the website (~200 mb data)
2. Come to the park around 2 pm with your headphones.
3. You’ll count down and all press Play together around 2:30 pm.
4. The dancing and mayhem begins.

You don’t have an mp3 device? That’s okay! They’ll have headphones and splitters so you can make new friends while you dance.

They’d also love to chill with some yoga afterwards so if you feel confident enough to be an instructor, message the host of this event on Facebook.

Silent Disco Squad tries to create a sense of community through dance. They work to make our events accessible to as many people as possible. They were disappointed that the Silent Disco to open Dolores Park was capped at 500 headsets. Their way of creating silent discos allows for unlimited attendance.
