Named Experimental Artist of the Year in 2014 by Pitchfork magazine, Australian composer and multi-instrumentalist Oren Ambarchi creates carefully tended arrangements that unravel gently.
At Resonance, Ambarchi shares his unique sound-world of deep, visceral guitar abstraction combined with fragile, light-as-air textures made from glass harmonica, strings, bells, piano, drums, and percussion. The live set will be followed by a discussion of his ideas, creative process, and inspirations.
Keep in mind – a ticket to Resonance also includes admission to the entire museum from 6 to 10 p.m. to enjoy the After Dark programming and Exploratorium exhibits.
