Freespace Pop-Up Community Center

Freespace is a pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in S0Ma, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you.

Freespace was originally just a one month project, but it was extended to two months thanks to successful Indiegogo campaign. They’re now open periodically (check their schedule). They host a wide array of events and projects like classes, music, art, silent discos, yoga, a free bikeshare, community engagement and field trips, and more than a few silly costumes.

Crafternoon with SCRAP | Freespace Pop-Up Community Center

Take a crafternoon. They’ll bring all the materials for you to use to make a variety of projects: artist trading cards, image transfers, stamps, collages, simple books, and more.

Bring your creativity and spend some time playing with materials.
