Serial Experiments Lain (1998-1999), the 20th Anniversary

A weird wired rabbit hole of existential crisis and global reality conspiracy download clueless teenager Lain Iwakura into a suburban unreality. Can the dead daemon email? Do computer networks hold your mirror self? Is our future in the wired? This great cryptic series was released in the late 1990’s and pioneered an experimental, disjointed, isolating style. We’ll watch the first 4 episodes, maybe 5! Featuring The History of the Internet, Conspiracies, Esoteric Oddness, City Silhouettes and many power lines. We’re showing the last 4 episodes! Directed by Ryutaro Nakamura and based off the manga by Yoshitoshi Abe.
