Strange Days (1995)

A quintessential cyber-noir, Strange Days severs to the nerve. Follow Lenny Nero–a former cop gone sleaze-dealer of quantum recorded cortex memories, as he navigates a throbbing world of violence, corruption and moral turpitude. Remember the riotous Y2K era with MiniDiscs & CRTs? Want to watch a New Year’s Eve party featuring Aphex Twin, but never get to hear him?

Strange Days delivers the mid ’90s cyberpunk standard but leans forward just enough to still be relevant. Be warned, though not overly graphic, the movie can be disturbing. Featuring Ralph Fiennes, Pyle, Juliette Lewis and Angela Basset. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow. (1995)
