SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2026
The 2026 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 9, 2026 with Hermán Olivera y Orquesta Taíno to kick off its 26th season. The Festival features over 100 free performances from May to November in Downtown San Francisco.
Praised by The New York Times for “tender, deeply expressive” interpretations, San Francisco’s Cypress String Quartet has played on thousands of stages around the world and recorded more than a dozen albums.
Celebrating both their 20th anniversary and the commercial release of their complete recordings of Beethoven’s string quartets, the ensemble is taking the music to the streets in a series of 16 performances titled Beethoven in the City.
The Cypress String Quartet is determined to bring classical music to the broadest possible audience.
