Event Details

Participate in the 2012 Dìa de los Muertos celebration in Berkeley to honor those who have passed on featuring a community alter, candle light procession, mariachis, Aztec dancers, fire dancers, DIY art projects, free skeletal face painting, food trucks, and a beer and wine garden.

The Dìa de los Muertos Celebration will host food trucks, a wine and beer garden, and will offer free skeletal face painting and art projects. Costumes and papier maché giant heads are encouraged.

Cuatli Mitotiana Mexica Aztec Dancers bless the altar and fire dancers will perform. They then lead everyone in a sidewalk candle light procession through the district for about an hour following along a path of strewn marigold petals.
