Bay Area artists will present different cultural interpretations of Day of the Dead in the form of artwork, dance, and musical and spoken word performances.
The contributed artworks explore the various ways different cultures venerate and celebrate the death of a loved one. The night includes music by DJ Lamont, artist demos, pop up dance performances by Post:Ballet, and a contest for the best Day of the Dead attire, so dress your best.
Nexus ArtReach in partnership with the De Young Museum present a night of interdisciplinary art inspired by the Day of the Dead to benefit Visual Aide, an organization promoting well being through art. The event is free, but donations are suggested.
