“Daylighting”: The Berkeley Stories Theatre Project | East Bay

Berkeley’s Shotgun Players have gathered tales from every corner of town, and playwright Dan Wolf used these real-life stories in this exploration of the layered history of Berkeley with one young woman poised between the past and the rest of her life.

Pay-What-You-Can previews are on May 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 2014. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged, and have a minimum price of $8.

“Daylighting: The Berkeley Stories Project”

Meet Bee, a young woman who must decide her fate on a dusk to dawn walk across Berkeley. Travelling from a graduation party in the hills home to her grandfather James in the flats, Bee journeys through Berkeley’s history and her own, encountering strangers and old friends who help her face her future. Written by Dan Wolf and directed by Rebecca Novick.
