We invite you, and all Bay Area families, to attend the 4th annual de Youngsters Day Out on Saturday, May 3, 2025. This event is open to every Bay Area family, free of charge. The in-person, all-day event will include hands-on art-making activities and entertainment led by teaching artists and community partners, collaborations with local contemporary artists interpreting our permanent collection, and live performances in the galleries.
Proceeds from this event support our completely free school and family programming throughout the year, including:
- Free field trips to the de Young and Legion of Honor for students from hundreds of Bay Area schools
- Our Equity School Partnership Project, which connects museum staff with community artists and elementary school students and teachers to co-develop customized arts curriculum and programming
- Free Saturdays, which offers free general admission and robust family programming for residents of all nine Bay Area counties at the de Young
