Diwali or Deepawali is one of the major festivals of Hinduism. It spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.
Badarikashrama, a spiritual and culture center in San Leandro CA. will be offering a free concert to celebrate Diwali. Susheela, Shubha and Raqhav are a family of highly trained musicians in Classical South Indian Violin and Vocals. They will be accompanied by two fantastic Mridangam players, Natarajan Srinivasa and Sudarshan Gopalakrishnan. This “Grand Violin Concert” is not to be missed.
Prior to the concert:
- 2:00-3:30pm – fire ceremony to Mahalakshmi
- 3:30-4:00 pm – Indian Classical Dance performance
The program is free and open to all. A vegetarian dinner will be offered after the concert.
